Head of Contracts and Procurement | BEUMER Group Middle East FZCO

Cristina Amate Munoz

Cristina Amate Muñoz is a Spanish lawyer and senior executive shaping the future of system integration and infrastructure across the Middle East. With over 12 years of cross-disciplinary experience, she currently serves as Head of Legal, Contracts & Procurement at BEUMER Group Middle East—a German, family-owned engineering company delivering large-scale airport and logistics systems worldwide.

Cristina’s career reflects a unique blend of financial, legal, and international business expertise. She began in audit at Deloitte and corporate finance at BBVA, building a strong foundation in risk and compliance before transitioning into law and global operations. Her international experience includes roles at the Spanish Embassy in Vietnam and RLD Law Firm, followed by an in-house position in the construction and cultural projects sector with ACCIONA Cultura. At BEUMER, Cristina leads legal and contract strategy for billion-dirham EPC and system integration projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and beyond. Her remit spans procurement, claims, negotiations, and strategic risk management.

Beyond her technical expertise, Cristina is a strong advocate for gender inclusion in traditionally male-dominated sectors. She founded the BEUMER WoMen Alliance in the Middle East, launched mentorship programs, and introduced inclusive procurement policies. She is also a frequent speaker at major forums such as Dubai Arbitration Week, Disputes Summit & Awards, and the Global Legal Association Conference. Cristina’s impact has earned her awards including Excellence in Legal & Contract Management (Achromic Point) and Honourable Mention – General Counsel of the Year (Lexis Nexis). Recently admitted to the IESE Global Executive MBA (Class of 2027) with a Women in Business Scholarship, she continues to invest in leadership and systemic change.
